Hi,
My wife came to US on a L2 dependant visa in June 2007. She applied for EAD and got the same in Oct 2007. She was applying for jobs and both of us had to travel to India for couple of weeks in Dec 2007 due to personal reasons. After coming back, she got a job and is working now using the EAD that she got before the travel to India. Is it legal to work with the EAD she got earlier? I have this doubt because the I-94 with which she got her EAD is not the same as what she/I currently hold.

Hello im a senior in high school, i was wondering if anyone could guide me...what do i do? i want a carrer in web design but should i go to a Art Insititute and stud multimedia and web design or should i go to a regular college and study it there? i have no idea...i have done my research but could anyone help me on my way? thanks a lot... I applied I-140 in EB2 NIW category. I need to apply for H1 extension as this is my 5th year. I need to talk to my employer.
I see because of retrogression one cannot file for I-485.
Can I file for extension of H1 after I get I-140 approval or do I have to wait for I-1485 filing.
Please advise.

I am wondering how do I help / sponsor to obtain US tourist visa (B2) for my young (say below 10 years) niece and nephew in India. Their parents (my brother and his wife) will not travel with them so they do not need a visa.

Yes, you don't have to be in the US while the 485 is pending. You will need to be here for any appointments - fingerprinting, interview, etc. You also need to intend to be a permanent resident and work in the position listed on the I-140 (assuming this is an employment-based case). CIS might issue an RFE on the 485, asking for evidence of this, so you need to be able to provide it.

Current EAD was supposed to expire in Feb so applied 100 days ahead for renewal. To my surprise application got approved in 10 days:D. Hope they've given for 2 years and starting from expiry date of current one....

My brother's wife attended interview at delhi consulate for H4 visa and got 220g .
She had all required documents as required but they says " Your application required further administrative process and they will contact her ASAP" .
Attorny - Can you help us what opetions we have . How long it will take before she gets her H4 visa .
My brother is here in USA from last 9 years and never on bench .

I renewed EAD twice using e-file. So far it was all smooth. Very first time I had paper filed and went for FP-ing. Since then renewed twice for myself and my wife - no FPing...got the card smoothly. Again this is USCIS .. someone might have had completely different experience...

I have my I140 approved and I received my 3 yrs extension.
Question is can i shift jobs now? What are my options?
Once I move to the new job and file for GC, can I claim the old PD date ?

Hi everyone,
I have come to this form for help of one thing: for a long time I know that when switching jobs using ac21 you need to make sure that the job code is same and job description is similar, i know from my approved 140&perm that mine is 15-1032 (computer engineer),
the job description of both company are 90% same.
But they know nothing about the job code and ask me what is this code and where this is used . Can somebody help me with this?
btw, my old job title is computer engineer, my new title is manager of computer system engineer. is that a problem ? if yes , if I asked them to demote that to computer system engineer leader, is it better?

I had FP done way back in October 07..but there is no status change LUD on I-485..what to do??.:confused:..Do I take an appointment to talk to an officer or simply call USCIS ..

My EAD got expired in July and I got the Denial Notice of the H1B petition last week. My lawyer thinks it's got rejected because of my salary change and address change. So she's going to file a new H1B petition on a nunc pro tunc basis. What is nunc pro tunc? Is my case eligible to file such a petition?
And if not, what other options do I have?
Please give me some advice, any advice you think might work. Thanks!
