A kind reader sent me a link to a new Business Week article that discusses a fast emerging trend in American business schools - taking jobs in Asia rather than in the US. One of the biggest targets - young Asian immigrant students in the US being lured back home: How much longer can the Asian allure hold? With protectionist talk rising in America, and China trying to put the brakes on its rapidly growing economy, there's always a chance that Asia could stumble. There's also rising concern about what the migration East might mean for the U.S.'s competitive edge....

No. You can file two I-140 petitions from the same employer and your approved H-1B for three years is not in trouble. I don't blame you for your deepest concern in this issue, as USCIS made each and everyone of us so concerned about our every walk of our life.

I applied I-140 in EB2 NIW category. I need to apply for H1 extension as this is my 5th year. I need to talk to my employer.
I see because of retrogression one cannot file for I-485.
Can I file for extension of H1 after I get I-140 approval or do I have to wait for I-1485 filing.
Please advise.

My I 485 is pending since filing in July 2007 (Receipt Date SEPT2007) Priority date in FEB2006 (EB2). I was wondering if I can change employer. I do work for client but sponsor/employer is keep on exploiting my situation, with same employer for almost 10 years now. I am really fade up. My Friend is having business and if client for whom I have been working with through my employer, ready to get new contract with Friend, then Can I change employer ? In fact relative owns business in Laundry. Is it possible , if client ready to sign contract with relative? In that case my end job is same but since through an employer who would be having different business, do not know whether it is a good idea or not ? If yes, what are limitation and demerits, time involved. Please advise.

might be FP or change of address if you have moved after applying 485.
I have same status for past 5 months.

Hello,
I am on an O-1 visa married to a G-4 visa holder working for an international organization. My spouse's work told her recently that her spouse and other dependents have to be on a G-4 dependent visa unless they are a US citizen, green card holder or on their own G-4 visa.
1. If I change to G-4 spouse visa, I would have to wait 4-6 weeks before I get an EAD to work. So, I want to know if this is indeed true.
2. Can I continue to work on my O-1 until I get the EAD? Is there any way to expedite the EAD process.
3. Plus, I want to know about the portability of the EAD I can get through a G-4 visa.
4. Also, would this restrict my ability to apply for a green card in the future.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

...man so much noise...
I'm finding the same thing with my D2H. Take a look at the auto photo I attached earlier today for the noise in the shadows there - yuck. I've also seen an exposure shifting problem during any kind of motordrive and autoexposure. If I select manual mode it seems to go away. But I've examined shot sequences where EXIF data indicates identical Aperture and Shutter and yet there is a shift. I wonder if these things have that much production variance to cause noise and calibration problems like this.
Rick
what do other d2h shooters think?
thanks
